The annual State of the Blue Economy Forum convenes leaders from across marine industries, including fishing, energy, engineering, research, tourism, conservation and government. WA’s blue economy is estimated to employ 60,000 people, contribute $25 billion to GSP and is on-track double in size by 2030.
The forum enables the diverse stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of the status, trends in ocean health and dependent economic activities. The forum facilitates alignment and collaborate on priority actions towards the vision of WA being the leading ‘blue’ economy in the Indian Ocean by 2030.
